It dates back to Year 2010 when Nokia Launched Asha series .I purchased Nokia Asha 309 in 2012 years ,which supported wifi ,whatsapp and Facebook app .It was great struggle as there were no updates for Symbian OS so whatsapp lacked functionality moreover phone in competition had much more enhanced features due to android OS . Even basic functionality like control brightness also was also lacking in Asha 309 .But still it was budget segment phone and battery also made justice with standby for 7 days was enough with one charge . As phone was running on Symbian OS so there was no need to worry about battery drainage and moreover it has just had 2.4 capacitive touch screen so ,it was obvious there was no need to worry about battery . Thanks to Nokia they implemented wifi so i never had to recharge with data plans for the same ,as data plans were expensive in 2012 era nowadays data plans are available at dirt cheap in India .
